What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My journey to becoming a therapist is deeply personal. As someone who lives with ADHD myself, I understand firsthand how challenges with focus, organization, and executive functioning can affect daily life. This experience inspired my passion for helping clients develop practical coping skills that strengthen executive functioning and support overall well-being. I am also a mother to a child with ADHD, which gives me additional empathy and insight when working with families navigating similar experiences.
I am especially passionate about supporting couples. Growing up in a home affected by divorce shaped my desire to help partners build stronger, healthier relationships. My goal is to help couples improve communication, repair connection, and develop the tools they need not only to overcome challenges, but to truly thrive together. I believe that with the right support, individuals, families, and couples can build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
My approach to therapy is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping clients create meaningful change. I draw from several evidence-based methods, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples work.
These approaches allow us to focus on identifying strengths, building effective coping skills, and developing healthier patterns of thinking and communication. In couples therapy, my training in Gottman Method Levels 1 and 2 helps guide partners in improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection.
Together, we work to find practical strategies that clients can apply in everyday life to support personal growth, healthier relationships, and long-term well-being.
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My personality plays an important role in how I show up in the therapy room. I strive to create a space that feels warm, supportive, and authentic so clients feel comfortable being themselves. I approach therapy with empathy and curiosity, recognizing that each person’s experiences are unique.
I also believe that clients are the experts on their own lives. My role is to walk alongside you—helping you explore challenges, identify strengths, and develop practical solutions that work for you. I tend to take a solution-focused approach, meaning we work together to build on what’s already working while creating meaningful, realistic steps toward the change you want to see in your life.
My goal is for therapy to feel collaborative, empowering, and grounded in genuine connection.

Education
Northcentral University, Master of Arts, Marriage and Family Therapy General, 2020 — A Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) is a graduate degree that prepares therapists to help individuals, couples, and families improve their relationships, communication, and emotional well-being. For prospective clients, working with a therapist who holds an MFT means you’re seeing someone specifically trained to understand how family dynamics, life transitions, and relationship patterns influence mental health. MFT therapists use evidence-based approaches to support clients through challenges such as conflict, stress, parenting issues, and major life changes—focusing not just on the individual, but on the relationships that shape their lives. The goal is to help clients build healthier connections, develop practical coping skills, and create lasting positive change within their relationships and family systems.
