Work HistoryHello, my name is Sade (Sha-day). Yes, I’m named after the singer, and I sometimes meet people who are familiar with the singer who pronounce my name correctly. I am a Doctor of Psychology, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (116250), and the President of Hygieia Behavioral Health Foundation. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and have worked as a psychotherapist all over LA from Palos Verdes to Inglewood, South LA, Beverly Hills, and Orange County. I lived in Santa Barbara while completing my bachelor’s degree at UC Santa Barbara, and earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). I have worked with many populations, especially k-12 children, and families of all backgrounds. I have helped clients with a range of needs that has led my focus to Anxiety-related Disorders, and those within the LGBTQIA+ community that desire a knowledgeable and accepting therapist. Working in many different communities and populations has helped my growth as a psychotherapist. My background, upbringing, and personal experiences have made me more culturally competent and aware than any training offered. My clients trust me more as they realize I am relatable, thus strengthening the relationship and therapeutic process.
