Education
Friends University, Master of Science, Family Therapy, 2025 — I completed my Master of Science in Family Therapy at Friends University in Kansas City, a nationally accredited program that meets the highest standards for training, ethics, and clinical competency. As part of the 60-credit degree, I completed a 16-month clinical internship with over 1,000 total hours, including 500 hours of direct therapy—200 of which were with couples and families—along with 500 professional development hours spent in training, case preparation, documentation, and consultation. In addition, I received more than 100 hours of supervision from licensed clinicians to strengthen my skills and ensure quality care. The program emphasized evidence-based practice, systemic thinking, cultural awareness, and AAMFT ethical standards, preparing me to work flexibly with individuals, couples, and families while honoring confidentiality, diversity, and social justice. This education helps me provide therapy that is practical, compassionate, and grounded in both professional credibility and holistic values.
Kansas State Univeristy, Bachelor of Science, Psychology; Conflict Analysis and Trauma Studies, 2023 — I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Trauma Studies at Kansas State University, where I built a strong foundation in mental health, trauma, and relationships. I was inducted into the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology, served as a Mental Health Team member on the Panhellenic Council, and was a founding officer of the Couples and Family Therapy Club. My coursework included classes on trauma and traumatic stress, abnormal psychology, coping with life crises, psychology of women, intimate relationships, conflict resolution, and the psychology of sexual behavior. These experiences gave me both academic knowledge and leadership opportunities that deepened my understanding of people, relationships, and the impact of trauma—preparing me for advanced training as a therapist.
Work HistoryIn my work history, I served as a Peer Support Specialist at Pawnee Mental Health Services, where I worked with both individuals and groups navigating a variety of mental health challenges. I carried my own caseload, led a therapeutic group, and co-facilitated grief and process groups each week. This role strengthened my expertise in supporting clients through crisis, building resilience, and fostering meaningful connections—all skills that continue to guide my work as a therapist today.
