How has your particular field of specialization evolved in recent years and how has that impacted your work?
When I first started working as a therapist, I learned that I loved working with teens because I could identify with the issues they faced and the skills they need to develop in order to be healthy adults. When I was a teen, I relied on my own mental health professional to give me the tools to help myself work through what was happening and I love that I get to pass that on to someone else. I have also found that I truly enjoy working with men and the issues they face. There's a vulnerability I see when I work with men that often doesn't get to be expressed in the world and I love getting to unravel that vulnerability and help men find ways to express that in their day-to-day life.

Education
Adler University, Master of Arts, Couple and Family Therapy , 2022 — In my time with Adler University, I worked on several pieces of research, with topics surrounding pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in the COVID pandemic; divorced licensed marriage and family therapists; women's voices in psychology research; staying together after infidelity; and #metoo in academia.
Work HistoryPrior to becoming a therapist, I was in the Hospitality field in an array of positions, always working customers and ensuring they had what they needed and were pleased with their service. As a therapist, I continue to do just that but from a safe and gentle lens that allows my clients to embrace vulnerability and explore their identity. Previous to my work at Hold the Vision Therapy, I worked for Trinity Counseling Center as an intern, working with children, teens, and adults on a variety of issues and diagnoses, including trauma, ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, relational issues, and more. As a provisionally licensed therapist, I continue to work with teens and adults, as well as couples and other relational configurations. In addition to my work as a therapist, I am also the practices intake coordinator and billing specialist.
