Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my experience with recovering from disordered eating and severe body image distress. I started out as a nursing student, but switched to social work when I realized that I still wanted to help others, but in a different way than I originally imagined.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
I wish that people knew that finding the right therapist for you can truly change your life.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to learn more about how the brain works and more about themselves. Gaining basic education and learning about your own patterns is the best place to start when aiming to make big changes, stop self sabotaging, etc.
