In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My therapy style is friendly and non-judgmental. I am committed to your personal growth as defined by you. I align with idea of radical self acceptance of who we are as individuals. I provide virtual psychotherapy services for adults residing in Michigan. My practice welcomes all; it is an inclusive space supporting a sex-positive, identity-affirmative approach to working with individuals seeking mental health support.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I began my journey working in sexual health education and dating coaching in 2014. I completed my masters of Social Work at the University of Michigan in 2018. I have worked in a variety of settings including the University of Michigan and mental health agencies. I value working in private practice where your treatment can be truly tailored to you. I have specialized training in the fields of sexuality, romantic relationships and fertility/pregnancy related concerns. I hold a certificate from the Sexual Health Certificate Program, Sex Therapy track from the University of Michigan. I am also a DONA trained birth doula (support person for birthing people). I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I work with young adults, adults, couples, and all relationship styles. I am a LGBTQ+ and BIPOC ally. Folx of all racial and ethnic identities, gender identities, sexual orientations, levels of education, health and ability statuses, religious backgrounds, political beliefs, and citizenship statuses are welcome here.
