What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I'm human. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.
I often felt confused and invisible as a child. As a teen and young adult, I spent a lot of time exploring who I was and how to deal with life's hardships. I know what it's like to struggle and I want to help others feel heard and to help others recognize their own ability to find joy and peace in life.
My life experiences are what lead me to become the counselor I am today.

I draw from my experience in residential treatment, domestic violence, oncology, adoption/foster care, and a local children's hospital. I hold a license as a professional counselor in Texas and a license as a mental health counselor in Washington State. Additionally, I am a registered play therapist, a licensed counseling supervisor, and a counseling adjunct professor.
