Get To Know Me
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting. You might already know your struggles are connected to childhood, but still feel stuck.
In therapy, we focus on helping you understand why certain thoughts, emotions, and reactions keep showing up, and gently working through them so they don’t keep taking over your life.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is active and collaborative, focused on helping you make real shifts, not just talk about what’s wrong. I use EMDR along with body-based approaches and parts work, which help us understand different parts of you that developed in response to what you’ve been through.
We move at a pace that feels manageable, without needing to relive every detail, while helping your thoughts, emotions, and reactions feel less overwhelming and more in your control.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
Success can look like waking up feeling rested instead of exhausted, and not dreading going to sleep at night.
It can look like setting a boundary and not second-guessing yourself for hours afterward, or speaking up without immediately wondering if you did something wrong.
It can look like feeling more in control of your reactions instead of getting pulled into emotions that take over your whole day.
It can look like feeling more present in your relationships, instead of lashing out, shutting down, or pulling away.
It can look like starting to see yourself with more compassion, instead of defaulting to shame or feeling like something is wrong with you.

Education
Suffolk University, Master of Science, Mental Health Counseling, 2012 — My training included clinical work in a trauma-focused setting, where I supported individuals working through the lasting impact of early experiences. This foundation continues to guide my work helping adults heal from childhood trauma using EMDR and mind-body approaches.
Work HistoryI’ve spent the last 13 years supporting people through some of life’s hardest moments across hospitals, schools, homes, and outpatient settings. Over time, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people as they begin to make sense of their pain and work through experiences from childhood that still feel present today.
Today, I specialize in helping adults heal from childhood trauma, including emotional wounds, abuse, and patterns shaped within families and across generations.
I use EMDR and other mind-body approaches to help you feel calmer, sleep more peacefully, and feel less stuck in the past. My background gives me a strong foundation, but I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. You don’t have to keep feeling this way. Reach out for a free consultation and we’ll get started.
