Get To Know Me
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach is holistic, somatic-informed, person-centered, and collaborative. That means the focus is on your strengths, your body and mind, your story, and what matters most to you to bring more balance, purpose, and joy into your life.
What excites you most about the evolving mental health landscape?
I’m excited by somatic, trauma-informed approaches that help you reconnect, heal, and regain balance in mind and body. Exploring neurobiology and polyvagal theory excites me—I love seeing how understanding the nervous system sparks healing and growth.
What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
I actively pursue continuing education, engage in consistent peer-to-peer consultation, and provide supervision to other therapists and social work students, all to deepen my skills and provide the best care for my patients. This March (2025), I completed an integrative somatic trauma therapy certificate course, which I heavily use in my practice. I’m committed to expanding my expertise in the many specialized competencies within somatic therapy. Beyond trauma work, I engage in ongoing learning in ethics, cultural humility, and advocacy, ensuring that my practice remains informed, compassionate, and responsive to the diverse needs of those I work with.

Work HistoryI'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW/LISW-CP) based in North Carolina and South Carolina; I have been practicing for the past eight years.I believe each of us is capable of change, even when we feel stuck or overwhelmed. This drew me to mental health work, helping individuals feeling trapped by trauma reconnect with themselves. My practice is trauma-informed and somatic, emphasizing the mind–body connection, which trauma often fragments. I’ve supported people in acute crises on a COVID-positive inpatient psych unit from the start and busiest years of the pandemic, and worked with individuals living through and recovering from Hurricane Helen, experiences that strengthened my understanding of resilience, healing, and the power of compassionate, grounded care.
