If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?

No Bad Parts by Richard Schwartz. This book is super aligned with my philosophy- there are no bad parts of us! Every emotion, behavior, and pattern has a purpose and is trying to help you. Sometimes, these patterns are no longer beneficial to us- this is when we can get to know these parts of ourselves and gradually redirect them to a more useful role.

What does a first session with you look like?

Just getting to know you! Therapy can be scary, and you've lived a whole life before the moment we meet...my goal in the first session is to get an idea of who you are, your goals, and begin to build a therapeutic relationship with you that makes you feel comfortable.
