Education
University of Southern California, Master of Social Work, Adult Mental health & Wellness., 2020 — The Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of Southern California (USC) is renowned for its focus on advanced clinical practice, evidence-based approaches, and social justice. This rigorous program prepares students to address complex challenges in diverse communities while equipping them with therapeutic skills to provide effective, compassionate care in a variety of clinical settings.
University of Ottawa, Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, 2013
Work HistoryAfter graduating with my Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2013, I spent three years working at a residential program for youth with complex behavioral and developmental challenges. I provided crisis intervention, ABA therapy, and case management, which taught me the importance of meeting people where they are and finding ways to support their unique needs. I later worked in schools, helping children and youth with behavioral and developmental disabilities, before transitioning to a domestic violence shelter. There, I supported women and children escaping abuse as a case manager and DV counselor, becoming certified in trauma-informed domestic violence counseling. In 2018, I started my Master of Social Work program at USC, where I gained experience providing therapy to families navigating child welfare, substance use, and domestic violence. After graduating, I specialized in perinatal mental health, working with women facing challenges during pregnancy and postpartum. I became the program manager of an outpatient perinatal mental health program, ensuring high-quality care for clients and supporting a dedicated team of therapists. Now, as a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator for the County of San Diego, I oversee programs that serve children, youth, and families. Through it all, my focus has remained on creating safe spaces for healing, fostering resilience, and helping individuals and families move toward hope and growth.
