Education
Antioch University, Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy, 2024
Work HistoryMy path toward becoming a therapist has been shaped by a wide range of experiences working alongside individuals, couples, and families in different settings. Each step along the way has deepened my understanding of how to support people through life’s challenges with compassion, creativity, and practical tools. Most recently, I worked at Sound in Bellevue, Washington, where I had the privilege of walking alongside clients from diverse backgrounds. There, I offered individual, couple, and family therapy using approaches like Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, First Approach Skills Training (FAST-Behavior), and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy. I spent time getting to know each client’s unique story, co-creating treatment and safety plans that fit their needs, and helping them move toward their goals. I also co-led therapy groups focused on building skills for parents and children to strengthen their relationships. Before that, I volunteered with RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), providing crisis support and compassionate listening to survivors of sexual assault. That work taught me how essential it is to meet people exactly where they are, without judgment, and to offer a steady, supportive presence in moments of deep vulnerability. I also gained valuable experience working as a Behavior Interventionist for neurodivergent adolescents, using strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis to help them manage challenging behaviors and develop new skills. This work emphasized the importance of patience, adaptability, and celebrating every small step forward. My earlier clinical training took place in several community-based settings. At the Hope Center in Massachusetts, I provided therapy and facilitated music therapy groups, which showed me the power of creative expression in healing. At the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, I helped design support programs for individuals experiencing homelessness, working alongside medical outreach teams to ensure holistic care. Even before my formal training as a therapist, I worked as a Resident Assistant in a college setting, where I learned firsthand how to support people navigating transitions, conflicts, and emotional stress. It was there that I discovered my passion for creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Through all of these experiences, I’ve developed a deep respect for the resilience people carry and the courage it takes to seek support. I bring this respect into every session, along with a flexible, person-centered approach tailored to each individual’s journey.
