University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Master of Social Work, 2003
Work HistoryNeurodivergent kids don't need to be fixed, they need to be understood. And families in crisis need someone who's been in the room when things fall apart and knows how to help put them back together. That's where I come in. I'm a Clinical Social Work Intern who graduated from UNLV in 2003 with my Master's in Social Work. I've spent over twenty years in this field, including years working directly with the court system on custody evaluations, parenting assessments, and mental health evaluations for families navigating legal battles. Now I focus on direct therapy, working with kids as young as three all the way up to older adults. My primary focus is neurodivergent children and teens—kids with ADHD, impulsivity, behavioral challenges, or thinking patterns that don't fit traditional expectations. I also work extensively with families in crisis: divorce, domestic abuse, substance use, teenagers shutting down completely, or court involvement that's adding stress no one knows how to handle. I use play therapy with younger kids, the Gottman Method with couples stuck in destructive patterns, parent-child interaction therapy, and trauma-focused approaches.
