Learn more about my:
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
In my practice, I use an Integrative Mental Health model to support my client's using mind-body interventions, as well as Expressive Arts Therapy (Culinary Therapy) within my sessions. I believe that healing thrives with quality time and good company, focused on addressing difficult life experiences and understanding the impact it has on your perception of yourself, your environments and your relationships. With this in mind, I also use skills and techniques from Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Relational Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
As a millennial clinician who attended graduate school during the pandemic, I can relate the various life transitions we have been challenged and faced with during our lifetime thus far. I am familiar with achieving many successful accomplishments, as well as accepting and grieving situations of loss and dynamic shifts in direction. I find it passionate to walk with my clients navigating their life transitions and exploring all the feelings and emotions that come with change - from graduations, relocations, births, grief and loss, relationship issues, new jobs and career changes, to making a life-changing decision for yourself. I am here to be a witness.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I take a very eclectic and relational approach to therapy and our therapeutic alliance. I believe client's should be able to learn about who their therapist is as a person and find appropriate levels of relatability and understanding. We will work in collaboration to address your needs and concerns, providing you with the appropriate coping skills and resources to manage life's challenges. No judgement, just good vibes, (good food) and therapeutic support!
