Work HistoryI am originally from Chicago but have since moved twice to land in Maryland. I have been practicing social work for 20 years, mostly in schools with middle and high school students but also in the communities in which I have lived. I want to bring wellness and feelings of contentment to my clients and strive to build healthy authentic relationships with them so that they can transfer those onto and with the people in their lives. I feel it is important to find balance in our lives and understand that for some the process of starting in therapy can be the most difficult decision they make. I hope to be with you every step of your journey and to make our time together as meaningful as possible. Every client has different goals and together we will work to discover what your needs are to be your best self. I use a variety of mediums to help clients find their center and wholeness. I bring to my work with clients a person centered approach using conversational methods, also incorporating meditation, mindful movement and focusing techniques. Much of my work has been with those who need support in executive functioning skills, ADHD, Anxiety, Social skill building and trauma. I enjoy walking, reading and watching suspense films in my spare time. I am married, happily for 24 years, and have two older sons and a very loving 75 pound lap dog. My family and home are my safe places and where I find the most peace in chaotic times.
