What is your style/approach to therapy?
While my background includes training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), as well as interpersonal and existential therapies, my approach is eclectic, tailored to the individual, with an emphasis in establishing and cultivating a warm, respectful, and secure therapeutic relationship.
What should we know about your experiences and background?
I am a licensed clinical social worker who works with individual adults and couples. I received my MSW from Smith College School of Social Work in Northampton, MA, along with additional clinical training and experience at two Harvard teaching hospitals in Boston. I have over thirty years of experience providing psychotherapy, addressing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, OCD, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and general problems in living. In addition to individual work, I very much enjoy working with couples and I am trained in Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy (RLT) approach along with an ongoing training with Ellyn Bader and Peter Pearson in their Developmental approach to understanding and enhancing relationships.
