Education
Boston University, Master of Social Work, 2012 — My Master of Social Work training emphasized evidence-based, trauma-informed care with a strong foundation in both clinical practice and human behavior. Graduate-level coursework focused on mental health assessment, psychotherapy, ethics, and culturally responsive treatment. This training included supervised clinical work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship challenges, and the effects of trauma. The MSW degree uniquely integrates psychological theory with an understanding of social systems, life transitions, and identity, allowing me to support clients not only with symptom relief, but with deeper, sustainable change. This holistic approach is especially helpful for individuals navigating complex emotional patterns, interpersonal dynamics, and long-standing stress or trauma.
Work HistoryMy clinical experience has been shaped by working closely with adult women navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of trauma. Over the years, I have supported clients through periods of emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and long-standing patterns that no longer serve them. Much of my work has focused on helping clients understand how past experiences continue to influence present-day emotions, reactions, and relationships. Through this work, I have developed a strong specialty in trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR, which allows clients to process difficult experiences in a way that feels safe, structured, and empowering. I have worked with individuals seeking both short-term support and deeper, long-term healing. My approach is collaborative and thoughtful, meeting clients where they are while helping them build insight, emotional resilience, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. My experience has taught me that meaningful change happens when clients feel understood, supported, and respected throughout the therapeutic process.
