What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I believe we are all resilient and can overcome obstacles to achieve the fulfillment we wish for ourselves. By searching this site, you have already taken the hardest step in this process which is to actively seek relief. My goal is to create a safe and open environment to support the expression of your innermost thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and feelings. I believe that processing, understanding, and working through these dynamics will create the necessary change and internal growth to achieve your life goals.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach utilizes several evidence-based therapies and interventions from a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic-based therapy, Trauma-Induced therapy, Strength-Based therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered therapy.
What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
One of the biggest barriers to mental health care today is cost—many people either can’t afford it or don’t have adequate insurance. Stigma is still a major hurdle too, especially in communities where mental health struggles are misunderstood or judged. Even when someone wants help, finding a provider can be tough due to long waitlists and a shortage of therapists. The system itself can feel confusing and overwhelming to navigate, especially when you're already struggling. For many, it’s also hard to find someone who truly understands their culture or background. And on a basic level, things like transportation, internet access, or comfort with technology can make getting care harder than it should be.
