Work HistoryI've gained a lot of workplace experience since 1986 and most of my work required communication skills and efficacy. Customer service has been a mainstay throughout my careers and changes. I do strive to meet my clients where they are in the first session and then create a safe space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings. My focus is always the client in the here and now and helping them connect dots to the past that helps explain their challenges and behaviors. As an educator, I worked with high school students and still enjoy assisting young people in finding their voice and learning how to cope with uncomfortable feelings. In recent years, I've worked almost exclusively with female clients who have experienced emotional abuse from intimate partners or from parent wounds. Most of these clients inevitably suffer from anxiety, low self-esteem and depressive symptoms. My approach to therapy is collaborative, it's here and now with a focus on how the past effects current relationships, personal behaviors and emotions and patterns and inner child healing work.
