In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My personality shapes how I practice psychotherapy in direct and intentional ways. I bring empathy, compassion, and appropriate humor into the therapy room to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and human. Clients working through trauma, OCD, addiction, and other issues need both understanding and steadiness. At the same time, I am direct and honest. I believe meaningful change requires accountability, and I am willing to gently name patterns or avoidance when they arise.
I am conscientious, curious, and strategic in my approach. Whether I am providing EMDR, ART, ERP, or existential-humanistic psychotherapy,, I think carefully about pacing, treatment planning, and long-term outcomes. My openness allows me to explore each client’s unique story without assumption, while my sense of responsibility ensures that our work remains structured and purposeful. The result is therapy that is warm yet focused, flexible yet intentional, and designed for lasting change.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Becoming a therapist was my second career. I began in the automotive industry, but over time the work felt increasingly disconnected from meaning and purpose. Through my own experience in personal therapy, I witnessed how transformative the right therapeutic relationship can be. That experience led me to pursue a career in psychology.
Today, as a master's limited psychologist providing trauma therapy, OCD treatment, and evidence-based approaches such as EMDR and existential-humanistic psychotherapy, I bring both professional training and lived insight into the therapy process. More than a decade later, I remain deeply committed to helping clients do meaningful internal work and create lasting change.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
My life philosophy and treatment philosophy are closely aligned. I believe that people are fundamentally resilient and capable of growth, even in the presence of trauma, OCD, anxiety, or long-standing relational patterns. I see suffering as an inevitable part of being human, not a personal failure. In both life and psychotherapy, I value personal responsibility, meaning-making, and the courage to face what is difficult rather than avoid it. Healing, in my view, happens when discomfort is held within a safe and supportive relationship.
This perspective directly informs my approach to therapy. Whether I am providing EMDR, ART, ERP, or existential-humanistic psychotherapy, I work to create a structured, compassionate space where clients can confront painful experiences, interrupt unhelpful cycles, and build lasting change. I do not see therapy as passive support; it is an active, collaborative process. My goal is not only symptom relief, but deeper clarity, resilience, and a more coherent sense of self.
