Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My path to becoming a therapist was my journey through therapy as a soldier in the United States Army. What inspired me to choose this profession was the service I gave to my country I wanted to continue giving to my community.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
It would be important to know that a client will get someone warm, welcoming, and holistic when working with me. Meaning that I will see clients as a whole person not just the issues facing them.
If you could pick one movie or book that influenced your approach to therapy, what would it be and why?
If I could pick one book that influenced my approach to therapy, it would be Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. The narrative of this book tells a story of adversity and loss, the underlying message of which is that those who have a why can bear with almost anything. No matter what is taken from us we are always free to choose how to respond.
