In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?

As an older clinician, I believe my life experience has been so informative in my work with clients. I have learned through personal experiences how much trauma can influence a person's lens on the world as well as being a gateway for growth. I know that we can only share with others from experience, strength and hope and that authenticity is an invaluable tool in assisting others on their own journey.

Work History

I have worked in various settings throughout my 25 year career, however, over time I have primarily focused on working in private practice and most recently working with couples. My approach to couples counseling is a Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT). It is an exciting new way of working with couples to assist in becoming more secure and having a satisfying relationship. I believe secure functioning relationships during these turbulent times can be invaluable to a happier healthier life.
