Education
Boise State University, Master of Social Work, Social Work, 2020 — I earned my Associate’s degree in Child Development from El Paso Community College, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding child growth, development, behavior, and family dynamics. I later continued my education at The University of Texas at El Paso, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies. My educational background provided me with a broad understanding of human behavior, communication, and emotional wellness across different stages of life. Through my studies, I gained knowledge and skills that continue to support my work with individuals and families in a compassionate and client-centered way.
Work HistoryI was born and raised in El Paso, where I earned my associate’s degree and later completed my bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies at The University of Texas at El Paso. My educational and professional journey has allowed me to work with individuals from many different backgrounds and communities, which has deeply shaped my approach as a therapist. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I moved to Florida and earned my graduate degree online through Boise State University and graduated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning my career during such an uncertain time pushed me into the world of virtual therapy early on and helped me become comfortable providing support through online counseling. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. My experience includes working in schools, community programs, and centers supporting adults with disabilities, where I helped teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and building independence. These experiences strengthened my understanding of the importance of patience, compassion, and meeting people where they are in life. While living in New Mexico, I worked toward my clinical licensure and had the opportunity to work with members of the Native American community. This experience expanded my understanding of cultural awareness, intergenerational experiences, and the importance of creating a safe and respectful therapeutic environment for every individual.Working across different states and diverse communities has helped me develop a flexible, down-to-earth approach to therapy that focuses on helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered in their growth.
