Work HistoryI started my career in counseling by working developing a counseling program for a domestic violence shelter and volunteering for a local crisis intervention unit. I then ran an outpatient program at a behavioral health hospital, including both an intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization program. I also worked as a counselor on the inpatient units of a behavioral health program, including a year on the acute unit where those with hallucinations, delusions, and a propensity for violence were treated, before moving to the admissions department. I then went into private practice, running a successful group counseling practice then going into solo private practice so that I could focus on working with those who have confirmed or suspected neurodiversity, including autism, ADHD, and high sensitivity.
