What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to meet each client as an equal and honor their unique story. I show up authentically, encourage you to do the same, and create a space where you never feel small or judged. Therapy is a collaboration, and my role is to see you, support you, and walk alongside you as you navigate your journey.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
As a military spouse and mom of three, I’ve lived across the U.S. and abroad, experiences that have fueled my respect for diverse cultures, perspectives, and the incredible resilience people carry.
I weave that understanding into therapy, offering a welcoming, judgment‑free space where every client feels seen and valued. Grounded in empathy, warmth, and evidence‑based care, I help you face anxiety, stress, or life transitions while tapping into your own strengths and core values. Together, we’ll work toward healing, growth, and a life that feels authentically yours!
In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
My personality shapes therapy as much as my training. I’m a bit of a free spirit—someone who sings loudly to every playlist, plans theme parties for fun, and believes travel and laughter are essential nutrients. That light‑hearted energy shows up in session as warmth, creativity, and a willingness to meet you where you are, not where a textbook says you “should” be. Expect evidence‑based tools, yes, but also playlists for grounding, humor when it helps, and the freedom to try something unconventional if it moves us forward. I don’t take life too seriously, yet I take your healing very seriously, blending solid clinical skills with genuine, down‑to‑earth human connection.

Work HistoryI spent nearly two decades as a hairstylist, where I often felt like a therapist! Listening, supporting, and connecting with people on the daily. This inspired me to go back to school and pursue a career in counseling. Along the way, I worked as a nutritional health coach, helping people with weight loss, but quickly realized that dieting often caused more stress than good. I shifted my focus to promoting self-love, balance, and intrinsic motivation, encouraging clients to break free from societal standards.
During graduate school, I completed a year-long internship at the Family Counseling Center of the CSRA, a nonprofit dedicated to providing mental health care to underserved individuals and families who couldn’t otherwise afford it. Upon graduation, I was hired full-time and gained invaluable experience working with individuals, families, couples, children, and seniors from diverse backgrounds. This role deepened my passion for serving those who often felt overlooked.
When the agency eventually closed its doors, I transitioned into private practice, where I was able to focus my work on adults, couples, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. This shift allowed me to tailor my approach to better serve those navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, and life’s challenges. I’ve loved every moment of it!
Given today’s political and social climate, I’ve only grown more passionate about being an ally and advocate for those looking for a safe, affirming space where they feel heard, valued, and supported — no matter what!
