What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I'm human. I've been through beautiful and challenging experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help. Growing up, I was always told I was a great listener and had the drive to help others. I struggled with anxiety from childhood into adulthood. When I first participated in counseling at my college, I knew that I could change, and what an honor it would be to help others realize that growth is possible too. I was sold that this career was for me.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
You can expect to be treated with empathy and compassion when working with me. We are in this together, so we will go at your pace and focus on working through what’s the most challenging for you. I utilize two different evidence-based techniques. HeartMath is a program based on breathing and your heart rate to provide relief from anxiety and depression. And, Written Exposure Therapy is a gentle version of exposure therapy where you can process your trauma using guided writing sessions. I provide a safe environment for you to experience growth. I have empathy for others and bring warmth and understanding to sessions.

Work History
Does it feel like there’s something wrong with you? Are you overwhelmed with daily life while it seems everyone else is getting along fine? Many people struggle with past trauma, anxiety, or high levels of stress that make it difficult to cope, let alone enjoy life. Often my clients find me when they’re at this point. They’re dealing with PTSD, feel trapped in the past, or have crushing depression and anxiety. I work with women, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and others who need an accepting and supportive therapist. I know it can feel like you’ll never get better, but you can get through this, and you deserve support. I believe people shouldn’t have to deal with trauma and high anxiety forever. There are effective treatments that can improve symptoms within weeks, not years. I offer strategies from HeartMath; a program focused on finding balance and inner peace. I also provide written exposure therapy, an effective but gentler version of more intense trauma therapies. What if you could feel more energy, freedom, and peace in your daily life? That can sound too good to be true, but it’s possible, especially with support. It can be intimidating to begin therapy, and that’s why we’ll move at your pace. I’d be happy to talk about how I can help and answer any questions. Visit my website to schedule a free consultation.
