Work HistoryI'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I tend to work with individuals who face challenges in their daily lives due to anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem or confidence, and overwhelming stress. Their experiences may influence the development of these emotions or mental health conditions, including grief. I am passionate about working with those who feel particularly under pressure at work, in their relationships, and to live up to their own expectations of themselves. My practice, Arcadia Counseling Solutions, LLC, is founded upon the principles of Positive Psychology. I promote healthy, balanced living and the focus on productive thoughts and joyful experiences. Tenisha practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), through which clients learn how to change their thought patterns to engage in productive self-talk, rather than dwelling in self-criticism. I also incorporate mindfulness into my sessions so clients can learn how to ground themselves and become more self-aware. In our sessions we will explore your distressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as, discuss strategies for your overall well being. I focuses on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome obstacles. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work and is described as a caring, down-to-earth therapist who enjoys bringing humor into my sessions. Not only will I listen with compassion I also provide tangible tools to use when trying to improve your life and relationships.
