Work History

My experience as a therapist has been shaped by years of supporting high schoolers, college students, and young adults through some of life’s toughest moments. I’ve always been passionate about helping folks find meaning, feel more grounded, and navigate the challenges that come with growing up. For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of people, but I’ve found my true calling in helping younger folks—teens and twenty-somethings—who are figuring out who they are and where they’re headed. I earned my Master of Social Work with a focus on mental health, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding emotions, relationships, and personal growth. That education, paired with my hands-on experience, has been key to developing the skills I use with my clients today. One of the places where I honed my expertise was working with students at CU Boulder and in the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). I spent a lot of time supporting teens and college students dealing with things like anxiety, school pressures, and tricky relationships. That experience taught me how to connect with young people in a way that feels real and supportive, not stiff or clinical. I’ve also been in therapy myself as a young adult, so I get how overwhelming this stage of life can be—and how much it helps to have someone in your corner. That’s something I bring to every session: a deep understanding of what it’s like to be where you are. At my practice here in Boulder, I’ve built on that foundation by focusing on what works best for my clients. I’ve spent years sharpening my ability to help with anxiety, relationship challenges, and school-related stress—three areas that come up a lot for the people I work with. I use practical, evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you manage anxious thoughts, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to set and reach goals, and even some Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills for handling emotions and relationships. But don’t worry—I keep it simple and tailored to you, so it never feels like a lecture or a textbook. What I love most about my work is creating a space where you can just be yourself—no judgment, no pressure. I’ve learned over the years how to make therapy feel productive and even enjoyable, with a little humor thrown in when it fits. Whether we’re tackling big feelings, sorting out a tough friendship, or figuring out how to balance school and life, I’m here to guide you with compassion and real-world strategies. My time working with students and young adults has shown me how resilient people can be, and I’m excited to help you tap into that strength too. If you’re curious about how we could work together, I’d love to chat—I provide free a consultation to see if it feels right for you!
