Education
University of Western States, Doctorate of Philosophy, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, 2022 — As part of my doctoral training in counseling, my research focused on performance anxiety, the neuroscience of mental health, heart-rate variability training, and the intersections of athletic identity and race. I’ve completed advanced coursework and hands-on experience in assessment, sport and performance psychology, and integrated clinical counseling approaches. This academic foundation supports my work with both athletic and non-athletic individuals navigating performance demands, identity development, and mental health challenges.
Work HistoryI started my career seven years ago as a group therapist for youth in a residential setting, where I developed a superhero therapy program to help kids connect with their strengths and build emotional resilience. Over the past six years, I’ve focused on individual therapy, supporting clients through a range of mental health and performance-related challenges. During that time, I also worked as a sport psychology consultant, which deepened my expertise in helping athletes and performers manage pressure, strengthen mindset, and navigate the unique demands of their fields.
