Get To Know Me
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My experiences in life led me to study Psychology and to achieve my Masters. I learned first hand how a therapist help us to learn that we can cope through hard things with support and tools. In my personal life, I have lost my mother to cancer, found my father passed and survived abusive relationships. I was a single parent, alone and without any support. I felt alone and so grief stricken by all my losses it made parenting so difficult. I wasn’t the parent I wanted to be but I did the best I could. I don’t anyone ever to feel like I did during those difficult times. So, in my work with my clients, I try to provide a safe, caring, empathetic and nonjudgmental space for my clients to process and communicate what they are going through. It is so important to just have someone understand what you are feeling and going through.
