Get To Know Me
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
After sixteen years mentoring students and teachers as a public school teacher and band director, I became a school counselor and licensed professional counselor. After four years of working two jobs I decided to focus on my passion for helping people and am currently working full time as a telehealth therapist. I accept most major insurances in Texas and also take private pay clients.
What should we know about your experiences and background?
I trained in music as both a classical and jazz trumpet player and as a composer. My compositions run a wide gamut from solo instrumental works, large ensemble works, and experimental electronic works. My experiences as an artist, musician, and teacher have had a huge impact on my life and continue to influence me to this day.

Lamar University, Master of Education, Counseling and School Counseling, 2021 — I chose Lamar University for my degree because they offered a hybrid degree program that allowed me to pursue my LPC at the same time as I worked towards my school counseling certification.
Work HistoryI have spent the last 4 years helping clients from diverse backgrounds, first as an LPC-Associate, and then as a full LPC. I have worked extensively with clients from the LGBTQIAA+ community, teachers, artists, and college students transitioning into adulthood.
