What is your style/approach to therapy?
I specialize in working with women ages 25-50 who are tired of just coping and are ready for real, lasting change. Many of my clients are also navigating major life transitions - a new job, a big move, a breakup or divorce, marriage, motherhood, grief and loss, or the hormonal and identity shifts of peri-menopause and menopause. Even positive change can be disorienting. These threshold moments often bring our deepest patterns and wounds to the surface - which is why they’re also powerful entry points for healing. I am also passionate about helping those who work remotely and are facing isolation and disconnection.
My approach blends gentle compassion with focused work to effectuate lasting change. Using a combination of Gestalt, ACT, CBT, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic techniques, I help you get grounded and regulated first, then together, we safely explore the deeper roots of your patterns and pain. This is not just about learning about your patterns and their sources, it is about integrating what you learn about yourself into your daily life - that's where the real change happens and that’s how it lasts.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Before becoming a therapist, I was a lawyer in NYC and am a US Military Veteran- so I understand the pressure, the high performance requirements, and the burnout that can come with high-functioning, high-achieving lifestyles. I know how it feels to appear put-together while quietly falling apart. That’s why I offer a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out, you just need a willingness to start.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
If you're looking for a therapist who understands the complexity of high-functioning anxiety, perfectionism, and major life transitions, you're in the right place. I use a direct and compassionate approach that helps us hold what is going on with you and work on patterns that may no longer be serving you, while also creating real, lasting change. We're not just venting, we're working towards sustainable change in your life.
