Get To Know Me
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
You are brave, merely thinking of trying therapy takes courage. Courage comes from facing adversity and fear, not the absence of it.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My goal as a therapist is to become obsolete by fostering your growth and change, so I become obsolete. I firmly believe you have the capacity to change within yourself. As a therapist, I guide you with that process towards your goals. I'm not here to be a boss, judge, or doctor telling you what to do and how to do it. I'm here to assist you, and anything I say is not law, or set in stone. As the therapist, I merely make suggestions and observations.
What do you view as a key component of the therapeutic relationship?
The primary component to me is the therapeutic relationship, by being authentic. Connecting with your therapist is extremely important, if you do not connect with your therapist, that is okay.
