In what ways does your personality influence your approach to therapy?
I never really could trust individuals who presented perfect or as an authority. This is why I am so down to-earth and informal as a therapist. It is important to me to set boundaries and run my business very professionally yet it is also crucial that my clients see the REAL ME and that I am honest with them about anything - if they ask. Also, my clients say that I am pretty energetic person and present as confident and outgoing. The reason is I want to bring EVERYTHING into the therapy room so they (you!) "the biggest bang for their buck and time". But this energetic side is only part of my personality. In my downtime I take ALOT of private and spend time outdoors in nature so that I can be of the outmost help to my clients.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
As a give back to the world! I went through my own personal challenges growing up and in my early adult years. I also, was a workaholic and got tired of living by Society's and Others rules. Finally, I realized that I could do what I want with my life, and design the life I wanted (this took awhile!). So now, this is what I am doing! It is a passion of mine for others to NOT SUFFER!! Since I am not able to help the world on a larger scale, I wanted to do it on a smaller scale which is so much more meaningful to me.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
Give everything you've got! Give value to people who believe in you and entrust in you! Live authentically and with vulnerability. Work hard and play hard... but my version of working hard is much different than when I was young trying to vie for status and money. Live life fully - dont allow fear to guide us

Work History
Like many of you, I too struggled to find my place and way in this world due to childhood & other early experiences. I chose to work in the business world for over 2 decades until I healed my own "stuff". My business experience in coaching training, managing, mentoring, and running my own business provides my clients with extra experience most therapists do not have. My mixture of real-life experience, empathy, warmth, passion, humor, energy, and age make my sessions with clients goal-directed, impactful, and fulfilling. Clients report that often leave feeling much better about themselves and the world - which is what I believe coaching and counseling is about.
I integrate many techniques - ACT, DBT, EMDR, Ego/Parts work, Gestault, psycho-education, Solutions therapy, somatic/mindfulness to treat anxiety, over-thinking, overdrinking and eating, depression, relationship struggles, job/career unhappiness and self-esteem issues.
I understand that finding a counselor/coach you like is hard! I make this experience comfortable and unintimidating as much as possible (and a bit enjoyable too):) I offer free phone consultations to determine if we are a good match.
Currently, I am seeing clients virtually but also offer Walk N Talk therapy and a few sessions in Downtown Scottsdale if you are looking for in-person services.
