Get To Know Me
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
My personal experiences have shaped my work in profound ways. I know what it’s like to move through seasons of uncertainty, grief, and change - and to feel both the heaviness and the quiet hope that coexist in those moments. These experiences taught me the power of being truly seen, and of having a space where you don’t have to hide your pain or rush your healing. They’ve also shown me the importance of meeting people exactly where they are, with honesty, steadiness, and genuine care. Because I’ve witnessed how transformative compassionate support can be, I’m deeply committed to offering that same kind of grounding presence to my clients. It’s why I hold space the way I do: slow enough for you to breathe, safe enough for you to open up, and steady enough for you to find your way forward at your own pace.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
Success in therapy often shows up as small but meaningful shifts - feeling more grounded, responding to stress with greater clarity, understanding your emotions with compassion, or noticing that situations that once felt overwhelming are a little easier to navigate. You may find yourself setting healthier boundaries, using coping skills more naturally, or experiencing more moments of calm throughout your day. Progress isn’t always linear, but we’ll regularly check in to make sure our work aligns with your goals. You’ll know therapy is helping when you start to feel more supported, more empowered, and more connected to yourself again.
If there was one thing you wish people knew about the therapy experience who might be hesitant to try it, what would that be?
Therapy isn’t about being judged or analyzed; it’s a collaborative process built at your pace, centered on safety, trust, and genuine connection. And we won’t rush into anything. You don't have to have a perfectly clear goal - just a willingness to show up as you are. We’ll start with a brief consultation to make sure we feel like a good fit, and you’ll have space to ask questions, get a sense of my style, and decide what feels right for you. Beginning therapy is a brave step, but it doesn’t have to be a scary one - you can take it slowly, and you won’t be doing it alone.
