Get To Know Me
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
I have personally been impacted by sudden and unexpected death of an immediate family member and have dealt with prolonged, anticipatory grief due to an immediate family member having Alzheimer's Disease. I've also endured sudden and unexpected death of a fur baby, my beloved dog of 12 years. When interviewing therapists, I worked hard to find individuals who understand grief both personally and professionally.
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
Having the understanding that life is precious and emphasizing the importance of living our life in accordance with our values is often embedded into treatment with clients at Best Life Therapy. We utilize strategies such as mindfulness and gratitude which can help us to pause and appreciate our lives even when it is not going the way we want it to. At Best Life Therapy, we take a person-centered approach meaning that we view clients as our partners and we work collaboratively with them while instilling hope and focusing on strengths. This is not a practice life for any of us. We all deserve to live the best life possible.
