Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
The first session is a calm, no-pressure conversation where I get to know what’s been going on, what feels most urgent, and what you want to be different. I’ll ask a few focused questions to understand your stress patterns (thought loops, emotions, triggers, sleep, relationships), and we’ll end by choosing a clear starting point and a doable next step—so you leave feeling more grounded and not alone.
What does success look like in therapy? How will a client know that they are making progress?
Success looks like getting clearer on what truly matters to you and actually living more in that direction. You’ll still have emotions, but they won’t run your life—you’ll know how to make space for them and keep moving. Progress feels like taking real, meaningful actions that match your values, instead of feeling stuck, reactive, or trapped in old patterns.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I’m warm and supportive, but I’m not just here to nod. I’ll gently point out patterns I notice and help you try new ways of responding. I won’t force you to relive the past if that’s not helpful; we’ll focus on what’s showing up in your life now and what you want to move toward. We’ll go at a pace that feels safe, and we’ll also focus on changes you can actually use between sessions
