Education
Capella University, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, 2023 — I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Capella University, along with a Master’s in Nursing from Universidad Ana G. Méndez and a Bachelor’s degree from Universidad del Turabo. My education gave me a strong foundation in both the clinical and human side of mental health care, and it continues to shape the way I support clients today. I believe in combining evidence based treatment with a compassionate, personalized approach so that each person feels understood, supported, and cared for as a whole.
Work HistoryMy experience in mental health care has helped me develop a strong focus on treating anxiety, depression, stress, sleep concerns, and other emotional challenges that can affect everyday life. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have worked with children, teens, young adults, adults, and older adults, which has given me a broad understanding of how mental health needs can look different from one stage of life to another. My training and clinical work have shaped an approach that looks at the whole person, not just the symptoms. I combine mental health care with a broader understanding of overall well being, and I believe treatment should be personalized, practical, and based on what each person truly needs. My goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, and supported while we create a plan that fits their situation and helps them move toward greater stability and healing. I also believe that good care starts with trust. I work to create a space where clients can speak openly, ask questions, and feel comfortable being honest about what they are going through. Whether someone is seeking support for a new challenge or has been struggling for a long time, I want them to feel that they are receiving compassionate, respectful, and thoughtful care every step of the way. This style of care is consistent with the way patients describe their experience with me, highlighting feeling comfortable, listened to, and supported.
