What is your style/approach to therapy?
I work well with clients seeking help with stress management, anxiety, relationship issues, goal attainment, or issues related to emotion and self-confidence. My ideal clients are intellectual, results-oriented professionals. My bespoke approach to therapy tailors sessions to your specific goals and needs. With expertise in both psychotherapy and high-level coaching, I can blend them when appropriate. This facilitates emotion-based therapeutic work and progress towards clear, measurable goals.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
As a doctoral level psychologist, I have the highest level of clinical and academic training. I have a unique approach that turns uncomfortable thoughts and emotions, the ones you "can't get rid of," into assets for high-performance, growth, and excellence. I will help you unlock their ability to fuel your growth and accomplish your goals. In addition to my work with clients, I also supervise and train therapists, speak about adaptability and the human brain, and host a podcast on psychology, business, and high-performance.
Are there any recurring themes or issues you’ve noticed as you treat people in your area of specialization, and how has this insight guided your approach?
I know how tough it is when stress, anxiety, or unhelpful thoughts and emotions spill over into your work, relationships, and life. Especially for otherwise high-functioning, high-performing people. The most common feedback I get from clients is how empowering and transformational it is to find a new way to handle their thoughts and emotions, become more adaptable, and see change happen.
