In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
My life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap in the idea that we do the best we can with what we know. Therefore, someone has the capacity to transform his or her life once he or she becomes aware of the barriers and limitations that hander his or her progress.
In what ways have your personal experiences influenced your work with your clients?
Having a diverse personal experience growing up and throughout my life has helped me to be able to experience a wide range of situations which have allowed me to feel empathy with the client situation, which has helped me to build therapeutic relationships in which both parties benefit.
How do you determine therapy goals with clients? What does that process look like?
The determination of therapy goals is a collaborative process it goes back to the idea that the client is an expert in his or her own story, therefore we the client and therapist collaborates and evaluates what is best for the client’s life situation at any giving time.
