I utilize a combination of evidence-based practices, including: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Behavioral Activation, and Psychodynamic Theory. Depending on the situation, I may focus on one or more treatment modalities, depending which may be more applicable and/or helpful toward treating your symptoms effectively.
My hope is to get my clients back on their feet, to expound and sift through their sometimes overwhelming thoughts, and regain clarity and vision via getting back in touch with their personal values and goals. Sometimes this can look like a more structured session, while other times this can look like just having a conversation to get some ideas/thoughts out.
