Amanda Wheeler LCSW

Amanda Wheeler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia who has been practicing since 2020. She has a Masters in Social Work. Amanda partners with individuals to promote overall wellness using a variety of strategies, including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused approaches. She has more than 15 years of experience working with families with young children. More recently, her work has been primarily with perinatal mothers and other individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, communication barriers, and social isolation. As key elements of a holistic approach to treatment, Amanda supports natural remedies such as optimal nutrition, exercise, building positive support systems, and meditation, in addition to talk therapy and building a healthy sleep hygiene. Though native to Chicago, Amanda has called Virginia home for more than 15 years. She is a wife and the mother of a very active and intelligent boy. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (international when possible! ), shopping, gardening, and sleep. She also enjoys a good Netflix binge! Therapy is not work for her.
