What does a first session with you look like?
I am a very empathetic person and a terrific problem solver. I work well with those in crisis and those who feel they have hit rock bottom. After your first session, you will have a sense of relief from what is bothering you most, and you will have a clear direction of where we are heading. I can break down walls very easily and have worked with some of the most difficult populations, so if you have a difficult time opening up, I can assist greatly in that area! I will make you do some work, but it will always be a worthwhile learning lesson! Clients have said they never feel alone when working with me. Your honesty is the best indicator of how your treatment will turn out!
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I tailor my treatment modalities to the individual. Most often I use CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution focused treatment modalities. I feel I have been most successful with these methods, but there are times I use a mix of modalities.
