What does a first session with you look like?

I will help you break unhealthy habits and improve your self acceptance and a sense of well being. I set clear and obtainable goals so that you know how to look at your issues and are able to solve them on your own after therapy.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

My counseling strength is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT.) Cognitive behavioral therapy is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you feel, think and act. The therapy aims to find practical ways to help you deal with problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a modified type of CBT. My main goal is to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.
