What does a first session with you look like?

During our first session, we discuss your reason for seeking care, your prior mental and medical history, what has worked and hasn't worked, and your goal. I then use diagnostic tools to assess your symptoms, after which a diagnosis is formulated. Then, a treatment plan is developed to address your symptoms. I usually would see you for a follow up visit 2 to 4 weeks later to re-evaluate for effectiveness of treatment, after which a subsequent follow up visit schedule is developed. My goal is that after a few sessions, you will notice a decrease in your symptoms. The treatment plan is subject to change based on your response to treatment.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I prescribe medications to help manage your symptoms including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, insomnia, post traumatic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder. I also use brief supportive therapy to assist in your journey to acquiring a stable thriving mental health.
