What is your style/approach to therapy?
Individual treatment takes many forms–including non-directive play experiences, structured psychoeducational experiences, creative experiences using the arts, direct problem-solving and dialogue.
What does a first session with you look like?
My goal and hope in working together is two-fold. On the short term, I'd like to help you to get some relief and to ease some of the symptoms you or your child are currently experiencing. On the longer term, I hope that we can get to the bottom of the feelings, concerns and dilemmas that led you/ your child to counseling. I understand that this process this may be new and difficult. You have done the first (and most important) step of reaching out for help. Together we will keep taking one step at a time, in a pace that you feel comfortable with.
