Learn more about my:
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I've gone to therapists since adolescence. It was always hard to find someone to connect with who understood the true complexities of mental health, someone who spoke to me in a real, honest way while also showing compassion. For this reason, I work with clients, especially those who, themselves have tried and "failed" therapy many times. As someone who was once accused of "not wanting to get better," I never blame the client, but rather, look to what the clinician is not providing in the therapeutic relationship.
What would be important for someone to know about working with you?
I work, first and foremost, from a culturally sensitive, relational, and trauma-focused lens. This means that each individual I work with receives individualized treatment with "injections" of my personal experience and personality. No client ever receives the exact same treatment and this is because no client is the same.

Work History
I have extensive experience with individuals of all ages struggling with prolonged/complex trauma and intergenerational and/or multicultural issues that affect oftentimes affect self-confidence and interpersonal relationships. Using a relational approach and a trauma-informed lens, I integrate various methodologies including CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and art to help clients identify patterns, increase self-awareness and create positive change. I adamantly believe that therapy should feel relaxed and comfortable so you can feel engaged, trusted, and able to speak confidently and without fear of judgment. I provide individualized high-quality therapy services that fit your unique needs. I believe therapy should be collaborative, comfortable, and challenging. Using tone, verbiage, and my own personal history, I help clients understand intellectually/emotionally that they are not alone in their experiences with the goal of developing healthier coping skills. I provide a relaxed and humorous atmosphere where clients find insight and create connections that lead to behavioral and emotional change. Many of my clients have had extensive therapy and have difficulty finding the right therapeutic relationship. My personal hardships give me the empathy to provide an individual, unique connection suited to each client.
