What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Martin Schnuit, LCSW-C is a clinical social worker with advanced training and extensive experience in the mental health field. He received his MSW degree from the University of Maryland where he also completed two internships at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center. In the past; he was a child and adolescent therapist at Glen Burnie Mental Health, has done contractual work for the Department of Juvenile Justice, was employed for three years at the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and was also on the Emergency Department staff at North Arundel Hospital. Martin is also a consultant for Sheppard Pratt Health Systems, providing evaluation and psychotherapy for students in the Hannah More and Forbush Schools.
