Get To Know Me
In what ways do your life philosophy and treatment philosophy overlap?
Life can be challenging. It holds both positive experiences and negative ones. One thing that I know for certain is that the hard times don’t last. They are moments and events in our lives that sometimes feel overwhelming. I’m a fighter. I never give up and continue to believe In brighter days. My optimism about life’s challenges and working through them spill over into my treatment philosophy. I encourage myself so therefore I encourage others.
Are there any recurring themes or issues you’ve noticed as you treat people in your area of specialization, and how has this insight guided your approach?
Depression, stress and anxiety appear to be huge issues in our society. Many people are struggling with these issues. I seek out trainings and workshops to learn more about these issues and work to stay well prepared.
What does a first session with you look like?
I know that the thought of therapy can be frightening. I have seen a therapist in the past and I know how vulnerable one can feel talking to a stranger. There is no judgement or assumptions. We will simply talk and determine together the direction that your sessions should go in. I am a very relaxed person and the atmosphere will be friendly and inviting.
