Get To Know Me
What does a first session with you look like?
My goal for our first session is to create a space where you feel truly heard and safe. While I bring a deep background in psychoanalysis, our first meeting is very much a 'human-to-human' conversation. We will talk about what brought you to therapy today, but also about your history and the 'bigger picture' of your life. You’ll get a sense of my style—which is curious, warm, and non-judgmental—and we will begin to identify the underlying themes that we’ll explore together. Think of it as the beginning of a collaborative roadmap toward understanding yourself more deeply.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
I have always been fascinated by the 'unspoken' parts of our lives—the patterns we repeat and the deep-seated reasons why we feel the way we do. This curiosity led me through two decades of clinical work and eventually to a Doctorate in Psychoanalysis. I was inspired by the belief that everyone deserves a space where they don’t have to 'perform' or hide. Seeing the transformation that happens when a person finally understands the root of their anxiety, or when a couple learns to reconnect after years of distance, is what keeps me passionate about this work every single day.

Work HistoryFor nearly two decades, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals and couples navigate the most profound transitions of the human experience. My journey began in diverse clinical settings where I developed a foundational belief: lasting healing comes from understanding the "why" behind our patterns, not just managing the symptoms.
While my background includes extensive work in traditional mental health counseling, my passion for the deeper layers of the psyche led me to pursue a Doctorate in Psychoanalysis. This advanced training allows me to offer a unique perspective—combining practical, modern therapeutic tools with a deep understanding of how our history and unconscious mind shape our current lives.
Throughout my 20 years of practice, I have developed specialized expertise in several key areas:
Peripartum & Postpartum Support: I help parents navigate the identity shifts, emotional upheavals, and "unspoken" anxieties that often accompany the journey into parenthood.
Relationship Issues & Couples: I focus on breaking the repetitive cycles of conflict that keep partners feeling distant, helping them rebuild intimacy and secure connection.
Trauma & Anxiety: Using a depth-oriented approach, I help clients process the "root" of their stress and trauma so they can move from a state of constant survival to one of true peace.
LGBTQ+ Affirming Care: I provide a safe, deeply informed space for individuals to explore identity, coming out, and the specific societal stressors that impact the queer community.
Whether you are struggling with a specific crisis or a general sense of being "stuck," my experience has taught me that there is always a path forward when we look beneath the surface together.
